ABOUT

FOLKS LISTEN

GET TO KNOW US

Folks Listen is a ministry of the E-Free Church.  It is a hour program featuring insightful teaching from Scott Distler, Lead Pastor at the E-Free Church, and dynamic worship from the E-Free Worship team.

God speaks in diverse ways as we bring you a fresh perspective on Jesus’ love and grace each Sunday.  Every episode you will hear real stories, honest words, practical teachings and Biblical truths.  We are excited to bring the word of God and truth of the Bible to all of Northern Michigan.

The mission of the E-Free church is to meet as many people as possible right where they are and that was the driving force in creating FOLKS LISTEN.  The first episode aired on CBS Channel 9&10, out of Cadillac, MI, on January 3, 2016.  Several years later there was a dream to expand the show into the Western U.P.  With the support of our congregation we raised enough money to fund 4 years of programming and debuted on January 6, 2018 on Local Channel 3 out of Marquette, MI.

Our Mission

Meet as many people as possible right where they are geographically, culturally, and spiritually.  Then help move them to where God wants them to be.

Our Vision

To saturate Northern Michigan with good news of the Bible and the teachings of Jesus Christ.

OUR HISTORY

GET TO KNOW US

"In the beginning," a small congregation was lead to start a new church in a old dance hall located on the grounds of the Otsego County Fairgrounds.  The year was 1937 and they called it The Gaylord Gospel Center.

Since then God has continued to use the E-Free Church to meet as many people as possible right where they are and help move them to where He wants them to be.  Our vision is to saturate Northern Michigan with the good news of Jesus Christ.  What started as a small congregation has now grown into a church with two campuses located in Gaylord and Sault Ste Marie, Michigan.  God has also blessed us with radio,  internet, and TV ministries that reach 44 counties in Northern Michigan.
