As we have evaluated and prayed this morning we have concluded that we need to officially cancel our in-person Christmas Eve services at our Gaylord Campus. As we woke up this morning we discovered that many of our tech/worship teams would not be able to make it in due to their roads not yet being plowed and the significant drifting that has occurred. Law Enforcement has also asked everyone to stray off the roads. Along with that, the snow and wind is continuing through the day as we remain under a blizzard warning.

HOWEVER – Realizing that this could be the case, earlier this week our worship/tech teams came in and spent a full evening rehearsing and then taping our Christmas Eve service that our Tech Director, Brian Gerstenberger, has put together into a very quality 50-minute broadcast (including candle lighting) that we will be posting online at 2pm, 4pm and 6pm. You will greatly enjoy and be blessed by this virtual Christmas Eve service. We would strongly encourage you to do the following:

First, pick one of the 3 broadcast times and plan to watch our Christmas Eve service as a family. In fact, invite someone from your neighborhood to come over and join you. Be sure to gather some candles (or use the light on your cell phones) so that you can also participate in the candle lighting portion of the service. 

Second, take time in advance of 2pm to post on your social media inviting all of your contacts to watch one of our three Christmas Eve Services from E-Free Church. Along with that, be sure to share whatever service you are watching on your social media so as many people as possible can participate.

Third, there will be a time in the service that we ask you to take a selfie with all who are watching the service with you and post it on your social media. Be sure to tag it #@gaylordefree. 

Finally, pray for God to do great things. Whenever God changes our plans it is because He has something better in store for us! Let’s ask God to use these broadcasts to meet many people right where they are and help move them to where God wants them to be. 

AS OF NOW, we are still planning on having our in-person service on Christmas Sunday morning @ 10:30. This will also be broadcast live online. It will be 11 years before Christmas again falls on a Sunday so I hope you will make worshipping as a church family a part of your Christmas Day celebration whether in-person or online!
