WEEK 2

BACKPACK

What are you carrying on your journey?

Following Jesus is more than a moment. It’s the daily journey of learning to trust Him step by step.

NOW WHAT

You've taken your first step.

You said yes. You've started the journey.

But now comes the question almost every new believer eventually asks:

Now what?

The answer is actually simpler than you think.

Keep following Him.

“Come, follow me,”

Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.”

Matthew 4:19

MORE THAN A MOMENT

Following Jesus is a daily journey.

When Jesus called people in the Bible, He often used two simple words:  "Follow me."

He said it to fishermen. To tax collectors. To ordinary people with messy stories and imperfect lives.

And He still says it today.

Following Jesus is more than a one-time decision. It's the daily journey of learning to trust Him more and more over time.

NNot all at once. Just step by step.

FORMATION

This journey changes you.

As you walk with Jesus, something begins to happen slowly over time.

God starts transforming your heart.

Your perspective changes. Your priorities change. The way you treat people changes.

You begin learning how to love like Jesus loved.  Forgive like Jesus forgave. Trust God even when life feels uncertain.

“The Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.”

2 CORINTHIANS 3:18

This transformation doesn't happen overnight.

It happens as you continue walking with Him -- through prayer, Bible reading, community, and everyday moments of trusting God.

WHAT YOU CARRY

What's in your backpack?

Every hiker carries something on the journey. Water. Supplies. Tools for difficult terrain.

And in your spiritual journey, one of the most important things you'll carry is FAITH.

Faith is what helps you keep walking when life gets hard. It helps you trust God

when you don't have all the answers. It reminds you that you're not alone on the trail.

Faith usually isn't built in easy moments

It's often built in the difficult ones.

FAITH UNDER PRESSURE

God can use hard seasons

to grow your faith.

“When troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested it produces perserverance”

JAMES 1:2-3

You might be thinking, that doesn't sound like fun.  Honestly?

Sometimes it's not -- at least not in the moment.

But the result is worth it!

God is building endurance for the journey ahead. He's building your faith muscle.

Growth usually happens through resistance

Faith works the same way.

It's when you continue saying yes to God -- even when life feels difficult -- that your faith begins to grow. It grows when you trust Him even when things feel confusing. When you lean into Him after disappointment instead of turning away. When you keep walking even when the trail gets steep.

And over time, something amazing happens: You begin to strengthen your relationship with God.

THIS WEEKS CHALLENGE

Bring your real life to God.

Identify 2 challenges

Think about two challenges in your life right now — something at work, stress in a relationship, anxiety about the future, a health struggle, disappointment, addiction, or a season where life just feels heavy.

What if God could use those moments to grow your faith?

Turn them into prayers

Every time one of those challenges comes to mind, pause and talk to God about it. Ask Him for wisdom, strength, peace, and help taking the next step.

Faith grows when we bring our real lives to God instead of carrying everything alone.

Start the 14-day challenge

Every journey needs direction. Spend a few minutes each day learning more about who Jesus is and what it means to follow Him
