ALPENA CAMPUS
Tuesdays from 5:45-8:00pm | Mid-September through mid-April.
(Kids can be picked up as early as 7:30, but as late as 8:00pm).
The program will be geared for kids 5 year olds thru 6th grade. Child care is also available for younger kids so parents can enjoy a little time off.
SAFETY
Volunteers at Kids Jam are trained to create an atmosphere where families can confidently leave their children while they are in service. Every volunteer is screened with a background check and the kids hallway is monitored by security personnel, as well as security cameras. Don't worry parents - we've got this!
WHAT WE TEACH
Your kids will experience an age appropriate lesson that will teach them about God and His love for them. The teaching is interactive and utilizes multiple approaches for different learning styles. The goal at E-Free Church is for kids to understand who Jesus is and how He can make a difference in their lives. They will also have a lot of fun!
WHAT IS KIDZ JAM?
HERE IS WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT...
KIDZ JAM is a FREE Program for kids of all ages. Kids can be dropped off by an adult that provides contact information and other information in case of emergency.
Ages 0 through preschool will hang out in the nursery with volunteers that will keep them safe and having fun.
Young 5s through 6th grade will be divided by age and move through fun rotations including hang time with friends, Bible stories, snacks, games, group activities, chance to earn Bible Bucks by learning Bible verses and prizes. Each night kids will pick between a Creative Track (science, drama, or art) and an active track (large group games like tag and capture the flag that get energy out).
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Have questions? We have the answers!
Biblical Truth and Virtues
There is a new focus each month on a different virtue with Bible stories and application to show kids how to live out the truth. We want kids to learn that God is trustworthy, Jesus is their Savior and Example and they can make wise choices with God's help. Parents can download the Parent Cue app to their phone which gives them access to the lessons the kids are learning and more information to help reinforce the values taught at Kidz Jam. Check it out at:

Volunteers are trained to create an atmosphere where families can confidently leave their children. The area is monitored by volunteers and security personnel and we utilize a check-in system with a code to pick up children at the end of the program. Each staff member and volunteer is background checked. If you want to stay with your child for the first time to make sure they are comfortable, that would be no problem!
Bible Bucks can be earned each week by reciting Bible verses from memory, making kind and wise choices during the night, returning God times (devotions) each week that were completed at home and sometimes just as a prize! The Bible Buck store is open in Gaylord each Sunday morning only. In Alpena it will be open from 7:30-8pm Tuesday nights of Kidz Jam until our Sunday morning services kick-off sometime in 2025.
We have a ministry called Able Ministries for children that might need more support to get the most out of our program. They may have a behavioral, physical, emotional, medical or other need. We will talk with you and decide if they just need some basic extra support or if a 1-on-1 buddy is a better option. Please let a leader know if you think your child would benefit from this kind of extra support.
Other questions? Contact our church office in Gaylord at 989-732-2647
and let them know which campus you hope to attend and they will help you get the answers you need!
