WEEK 3

MAP

Discovering God's direction for your life

Every journey needs direction. God gave us the Bible to help us know Him, follow Him, and to keep walking in wisdom.

DIRECTION FOR THE JOURNEY

Every journey needs direction.

Imagine trying to hike through unfamiliar trails without a map. You might wander, get lost, or miss where you were supposed to go.

Following Jesus works the same way.

As your faith grows, you'll have questions about decisions, difficult situations,

God's purpose for your life, and how to keep growing

That's why God gave us the Bible.

OUR MAP

What is the Bible.

At first, the Bible can feel a little overwhelming. It's a big book -- actually, a collection of books.

The Bible contains 66 books written by around 40 different authors over a span of about 1,500 years.

And yet together they tell a unified story: God's love for humanity and His plan to bring us back to Himself through Jesus.

Some parts are stories. Some are poems and songs. Some are letters. some are history. Some are wisdom for everyday life.

But all of it points us towards God.

UNIFIED STORY

MORE THAN INFORMATION

The Bible is how God speaks to us.

The Bible isn't just a book you study. It's how God speaks to us.  Telling us everything we need to know to do everything He wants us to do.

As you read Scripture, you'll begin discovering who God is, how much He loves you, how He sees you, and how to live with wisdom and purpose.

And sometimes, a verse will speak directly into something you're experiencing that very day.

"People do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord."

MATTHEW 4:4

STAYING THE COURSE

Return to the map again and again

Even experienced hikers stop and check the map along the trail.

WHY?

Because it's easy to drift off course without realizing it.

Following Jesus works the same way.

As life changes...

as challenges come...

as decisions become more complicated...

We return to God's word again again for wisdom, direction, and clarity

Some days you'll read a lot.

Some days only a little.

That's okay. The goal is staying connected to God and continuing to walk in the right direction one step at a time.

START SIMPLE

You don't have to understand everything immediately

Even longtime Christians are still learning.

The goal isn't to become a Bible expert overnight. The goal is simply to begin.

To stay curious. To keep reading. To let God meet you along the way.
