Membership at E-Free Church
Becoming a member reflects your desire to call E-Free Church your "Home Church". As a Member of E-Free Church you not only have the right to vote at congregational meetings, you are encouraged to be involved and vote as God may lead you. At E-Free you do not have to be a member to serve on any of the Ministry Teams, however you do have to be a Member to serve in Leadership (Elder Board, men only or Leadership Team, men or women).
WHAT IS INVOLVED IN BECOMING A MEMBER AT E-FREE CHURCH?
1. Each individual who is interested in membership should fill out the online application below or obtain a paper application here or from the church office. Completed paper applications should be returned to the church office.
2. You will be contacted for an appointment to meet with Pastor Scott so that he can chat with you and ask you any questions that he may have and answer any questions that you may have.
3. Pastor Scott will then contact the Elder Board who will set up a time for you to meet will some of the Elders at your convenience after one of the Sunday morning services. Why meet with some of the Elders? The Elders take favor in having the opportunity of meeting with each perspective who is joining the church as a member. (Please be aware, that at no time will this group put you on the spot.) This is normally a 15-20 minute time to get to know you and be available in the event that you may have any further questions.
4. Our Church Constitution requires that your name be placed in the Sunday bulletin for two weeks to notify the congregation of your interest to become a Member of E-Free Church.
5. After two weeks your name will be announced in the Worship Services and the congregation will be asked to express an affirmation of your Membership.
